Glacier 3000: summer thrills and alpine panoramas
Glacier 3000 promises high-altitude adventure: Feel the adrenaline rush on the Alpine Coaster (open from June), the world’s highest rail toboggan run. Walk through the air between two peaks on the Peak Walk by Tissot, the world’s only suspension bridge connecting two summits, and explore the glacier at your own pace on the secured Glacier Walk trail.

A mountain experience in the Lake Geneva region
Glacier 3000 is a short PostBus ride away from Gstaad in the canton of Bern, making it a perfect excursion along the GoldenPass Line. It can be reached in under 90 minutes from Lausanne and offers activities and adventure all year round. Guests with a valid Swiss Travel Pass receive 50% off the return ticket to the summit.
15 minutes to 3000 metres
The Glacier 3000 aerial cableway takes passengers from the Col du Pillon bottom station to the 3000-metre-high summit station in just 15 thrilling minutes. The journey has two sections, with a change of gondola at the halfway station before the final vertiginous ride to the summit.
Peak Walk by Tissot
Included in the ticket price, the 107-metre-long Peak Walk by Tissot is the first and only suspension bridge in the world that connects two mountain summits. The stunning panorama features views of some of the Alps’ highest peaks, such as Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, as well as the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger.
Glacier Walk
Included in the summit ticket, this one-hour hike leads along a secured path over to the edge of the glacier to the rock tower summit, the Quille du Diable (the “Devil’s Bowling Pin”).
Dining at 3,000 m
Three restaurants offering both local and international dishes mean guests to Glacier 3000 do not leave hungry. At the summit station, an impressive structure designed by architect Mario Botta, the Restaurant Botta offers a warm and cosy environment to enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery. Restaurant Le 3 is a quicker and more informal option, while Le Carnotzet focuses on local and traditional Swiss dishes.
