FlemXpress: Complete line opening and new access to Cassons from winter 2025/26
The FlemXpress, based on innovative “Rope-Taxi” technology, will be fully operational from winter 2025/26. With the fifth and final section (Segnes–Ils Cugns) entering service on 19 December 2025, guests will have uninterrupted gondola access from the valley at 1,100 m to 2,675 m. The system provides renewed access to the Cassons area after more than a decade and offers a direct link to the Sardona UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Full operation from 19 December 2025
The final section, Segnes–Ils Cugns, enters service at the start of the winter high season, completing the entire FlemXpress line.
Innovative Rope-Taxi technology
FlemXpress is the first gondola system worldwide to operate using Rope-Taxi technology, enabling flexible, demand-based transport.
Direct access to UNESCO Sardona
The new line provides direct access to the Sardona region above Flims, improving connectivity for both winter and summer visitors.
Cassons area accessible again
After more than ten years without lift access, the Cassons area will once again be reachable via modern gondola transport.
Valley-to-summit connection
Guests benefit from a continuous route from 1,100 m to 2,675 m, offering a seamless ascent from Flims to the high-alpine terrain.
