Excellence Talk at the Top of Europe.

The Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe is one of the most popular destinations for tourists from all over the world. It’s time for Excellence Talk to head to the Jungfrau Region and explore its most beautiful attractions.

Gone with the wind.

Michelle and Andy are anything from camera shy and have made frequent appearances on Excellence Talk. Their reports highlight how comfortable the journey to the Jungfraujoch is. At the Grindelwald Terminal, they switch to the Eiger Express and enjoy the stunning view of the Eiger North Face. The cloudy weather in Zurich is nowhere to be seen on the Eiger Glacier. Instead, the wind blows even more strongly. With wind speeds of over 80 kilometres per hour, the duo prefers to move indoors to learn more about the fascinating history of the Jungfrau Railways at the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and to explore the magical ice world. And how well one can indulge in culinary delights at 3,454 metres above sea level is demonstrated by footage of Andy, who is known to be a true gourmet.

Return to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe

The hosts segment was, as always, recorded separately. For the presenting duo, filming meant an early departure from Zurich. Thanks to six daily direct connections from Zurich, one only needs to change trains once in Interlaken to reach the Alpine paradise of Grindelwald Terminal.

In the VIP lounge, the Inbound film team has already set up shop. The experienced crew, regularly engaged in national and international productions and known countrywide for their drone footage, leaves nothing to chance: tables are moved by a few millimetres for the perfect shot and gain a bit more height with a trick. We never thought a can of chips could be used in such a creative way. The team tweaks at the curtains – and at the presenters’ hair. And then it’s time: camera rolling!

After the introduction, the team has to hurry, as the VIP gondola is available solely on request and prepared exclusively for Jennyfer’s solo performance. Although the shooting schedule is tight and demands a lot from all involved, there’s still time to marvel at the magical Alpine panorama. Then it’s on to Sales Manager Carmen Fuchs, who confidently answers Jennyfer’s burning interview questions.

Since 1912, the cogwheel train has been travelling to the Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe. The Jungfraujoch stands at 3,454 metres above sea level and offers, among other things, an impressive view of the Aletsch Glacier below.

Jennyfer is a regular visitor to the Jungfraujoch, but for some, the difference in altitude is clearly noticeable. However, no one needs to use the provided oxygen bottle. Next, Adrian Schmied, Head of Sales, faces the burning questions of the Travel Trade on the Sphinx Platform. What makes the Jungfraujoch one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist destinations? Which destinations and experiences have the same relevance worldwide? What does the Jungfraujoch mean for the Bernese Oberland? And why should one always have a few raisins on hand? Answers to these questions can be found in the brand-new Excellence Talk. Swiss Travel System AG and the Jungfrau Railways wish you lots of fun watching.

The sixth episode of Excellence Talk is out now. It can be found within the Swiss Travel System Excellence E-Learning. Definitely worth checking out!
