New timetable and unchanged Swiss public transport prices
New timetable, more connections
Every year, Switzerland releases a new public transport timetable for the following year. This year, the 2025 will go into effect mid-December 2024. In line with the timetable change on 15 December 2024, travellers can look forward to expanded services. Increased frequencies between Munich and Zurich, restored direct services to Bologna, Genoa and Milan, and enhanced connectivity within Switzerland mean more options and convenience. In more good news, the service between Zurich and Brig will run year-round and be extended to Domodossola.

No tariff adjustments in 2025
Prices for the entire Swiss public transport ticket range will remain the same in 2025. This includes the popular Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Half Fare Card. Next year, customers will continue to enjoy numerous benefits at the best price. Families with children under 16 will find travelling through Switzerland on public transport doubly rewarding, as the complimentary Swiss Family Card allows children to travel for free. However, they must be accompanied by an adult holding a valid Swiss Travel System ticket.
Thanks to the free museum pass, the Swiss Travel Pass is also an excellent choice for visitors seeking out cultural activities. It offers unlimited travel by train, bus, and boat, and access to over 500 Swiss museums.
